Speaker Needed?

"Once there were no fax machines, and before that no computers, and before that no calculators, and before that no telephones. And once there was no Internet. Progress marches on, and in business you either ride the wave or get buried by it. Think you can sell insurance without the Internet right now? Of course you can. Will you be able to do so in four years? Don't even think about it. The only question you have got to ask yourself is whether it's time to dive in now, or wait for your customers and companies to force you to do it. And you know the answer to that question."

Bill O'Quin, CLU, ChFC, a 25- year insurance veteran can help. He and his partner, Joan Barrett, CLU, ChFC, founded Financial Services Online, a subscription-based World Wide Web site that contains virtually all the information and resources agents need to operate their practices. They know firsthand the impact the Internet is having on the financial services industry.

Bill is currently providing two free programs for associations, companies and agencies throughout the country on the impact of the Internet. One program is an "executive briefing" that lasts from 30 to 50 minutes and is ideal for association luncheon or breakfast meetings, company workshops and company briefings. It covers the impact of the "Net" on our industry and includes a tour of what is "out there" that will help or harm financial services representatives.

The other program is a two-hour seminar that covers:

1. How to "get on" the Internet;
2. How to send and receive e-mail;
3. How to find all of the useful financial service sites; and
4. How to print the material found on the Internet.

The seminar is not designed to teach ballistics, but rather to insure that you can "lock, load, aim, and fire" this new "weapon." This program is perfect for company conferences and association "fund-raisers." Some associations have charged $25 for the two-hour seminar, which is considerably below what "Internet Gurus" are charging. Bill's unique perception allows him to rapidly bring everyone up to speed on the superhighway.

Although there is no charge for these programs, we do ask that you cover Bill's expenses. However, since Bill flies out of Dallas/ Fort Worth, the total travel expenses are usually very moderate...frequently less than $400 inside the US.
